We spent a week at our favorite destination, Arcachon.
(For those who don't know, Arcachon is a town near Bordeaux, on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.)
I love traveling and the sea. There are many wonderful places to visit in France, but I believe that Arcachon is particularly ideal for families with young children.
Reason to go there in my opinion:
- The bay there is magnificent. The ebb and flow of the tide soothes the soul. Besides, the beaches are vast, and you can have a relaxing time.
- In addition to spending time at the sea, there are various activities that the whole family can enjoy. This time our kids signed up for a surf school and they had a great time.
- The city is really sophisticated and there are lots of chic and quirky boutiques.
- Many elegant restaurants where you can taste delicious seafood.
- The kindness of the locals.
At low tide, you can walk for a long time on the extensive beach. Looking at the beautiful pine forest from the beach is a wonderful experience.
