The story behind the pattern:
“Stand like a peony, sit like a peony, walk like a lily” is a proverb that describes a beautiful woman in Japan. This saying describes the silhouette of a beautiful woman with beautiful flowers. The peony has beautiful flowers at the end of slender stems. With its shape and fragrance, it is the very essence of a beautiful, slender woman. Peonies bear their flowers on side branches, giving the impression that they are sitting, and they are even more beautiful when admired in a seated position. In China, it is known as the king of flowers and is a symbol of splendor.
