This is a true work of art, hidden away in a refined setting.
The story behind the piece:
This tissue box is handmade by a Japanese craftsman using Washi paper from Haibara, a traditional Japanese paper shop located in Tokyo since 1806.
These Japanese Washi are dyed by hand. Based on a sketch by a painter, a dyer applies several layers of color to the Japanese paper to create the Washi. In the case of multicolor printing, as many plates as there are colors are required, and each color is carefully applied by hand to avoid any misalignment. Applying a large amount of dye to the paper produces deep shades that cannot be reproduced with modern printing techniques.
Washi, with its vibrant colors, is the result of the skill and talent of artisans.
How to use:
It's easy! You can only put a tissue box in the drawer. Ordinary paper tissues become elegant when stored in this box. It is very original and typically Japanese, but this box is designed to blend in with Western interiors and will enhance your beautiful decor!
