What does “FUKU” mean?
福 (fuku) is a Japanese term for luck, happiness, prosperity or good fortune. It is often associated with positive, beneficial concepts in Japanese culture. This series offers a range of auspicious motifs that will bring you happiness.

What does “Mi-doshi” mean?
In addition to the Western calendar, Japan also uses a system of years and days (and directions) devised by the ancient Chinese, called the Chinese zodiac, which features 12 different animals and completes a cycle every 12 years; 2025 is the Year of the Snake.

The calendar is adorned with auspicious motifs such as sakura flowers and treasures, symbolizing wishes for dreams to come true and fruitful results to be achieved. The motifs for each month are all considered auspicious. You can even use it as a calendar!
