The story behind the pattern:
It uses an all-silk obi with a traditional Japanese balloon pattern.
The traditional Japanese ball is made of long threads and represents a motif of good luck for longevity.

Personally, I am more attracted to colorful obis, but this one was so chic with its beautiful gold thread balls painted on a black background that I decided to buy it. I hope you like it!
