Japanese fan Sanpo (Spring Stroll)

Kyōsensu (Kyoto fan) is the name given to fans made mainly in Kyoto. It is said that the production process involves up to 87 separate stages, with many different artisans, each responsible for a different part of the process.
These are handmade by the long-established Kyoto company Onishi Tsune Shoten.

This unisex folding fan (but a little smaller than the HOKUSAI series) has a design inspired by the flowers that grow along the banks of a spring stream.

Incense is burned during its manufacture, and a subtle and pleasant fragrance accompanies its viewing.
