At MAISON MIYABI, we reimagine traditional Japanese masterpieces to blend seamlessly with sophisticated Western interiors. Our cushions are far more than decorative objects; they are authentic works of art, handcrafted in our Parisian atelier.
The Story Behind the Motif: Nobility and Imperial Grace This cushion celebrates two of Japan’s most prestigious floral symbols. The chrysanthemum, the official crest of the Imperial family and the emblem of the Japanese passport, represents longevity, nobility, and a steadfast spirit. It is paired here with the peony, revered as the "Queen of Flowers." In ancient times, this motif was a luxury reserved exclusively for the high nobility. Framed with sophisticated Petrole piping, this piece radiates an aura of protective grace and historical splendor.
